Do you want to become more proficent in understanding the workings of our government and the politics that are involved?  Many Americans get discouraged about the current state of our nation and the various laws, policies and political division and unrest our country faces on a daily basis.  Much of this frustruation comes from a lack of education about how we got to this point.

What is American Civics all about?

Webster's dictionary defines the word civics as "a social science dealing with the rights and duties of citizens". So what does that really mean? What are the relationships between the citizenry and government? What does it mean to "be a citizen"?  How is that designation interpreted in other nations as well as our own?
